Shimei MS-9380B PUBLIC Integration

Select SM-MS9380B-21316-PUBLIC to connect the device through KC25 / OM422. This generic profile provides telemetry, parameter operations and feedback without customer automation, notification groups or site locations.

Wiring and preparation

Use continuously powered Class C, RS-485 9600, 8N1, and default polling address 1. Match A/B wiring to the nameplate and manufacturer protocol. Install the EdgeBus application for 21316 / v1 and check regional radio settings. Selecting the template does not install firmware or change the dehumidifier's panel address. Polling addresses are 1–247.

Daily operation

Inspect fresh temperature, humidity, power, fault and timestamp values before changing power or the humidity setpoint (10–90). On/off timers expose raw values 0–36. Their units are unconfirmed: do not assume hours or minutes. Two defrost-probe raw values and seven fault fields are retained. Power state is not proof of compressor motion.

Writes and feedback

A power command writes once and queues one read 15 seconds later, within a total 60-second observation window. A write acknowledgement is only an acknowledgement. Confirm the actual result from a valid read or fresh report. Missing, expired or failed communication means unknown/unconfirmed, with no automatic repeated write. Serialize transparent operations per device: the protocol has no request ID, so identical delayed replies can remain ambiguous.

Sampling and location

Defaults are 300 seconds for sampling, 300 seconds for uploads and 900 seconds for the collector heartbeat. These intervals are independent. Supply all six settings: power-on delay, heartbeat, native multi-device count (fixed at 0), upload interval, sampling interval and address. SET queues one EdgeBus event restart after 15 seconds. Faster sampling adds serial load; faster uploads add radio traffic. Use readback for actual values.

The 3D-location action accepts a location object containing scene_id, model_id, coordinate_system, unit and x/y/z position. Read back _location_3d; this does not change the formal location assignment.

Acceptance scope

PUBLIC resources were published and read back. Physical actions, natural acquisition cycles, business MQTT, persistent logs and application waiting states still require field acceptance. The complete integration gate retains failed or environment-blocked checks; catalog availability is not end-to-end acceptance. Configure alarm and automatic-control policies separately.
