HW-58D Water Leak Sensor
HW-58D connects through the KC11 RS-485 interface. It distinguishes dry, water-leak and disconnected-probe states for equipment rooms, pump rooms and service shafts.
Wiring and onboarding
Connect RS-485 A to A and B to B. Power the sensor separately according to its nameplate. The available protocol does not establish its supply voltage or wire colors. Use 9600, 8N1, slave address 2, and a continuously powered Class C KC11. Select HW-58D-21314, install the matching EdgeBus application (business code 21314, version 1), and check the regional radio settings.
Sampling and alarms
The default sampling interval is 5 seconds, with a maximum 300-second upload interval when the state is unchanged. State changes trigger COV uploads. alarm_status is 0 for normal, 1 for water leakage and 2 for a disconnected probe or sensing cable. The template includes the water-leak trigger; normal readings clear both alarms. Configure notification channels and recipients separately.
Configuration and acceptance
Read parameters before changing sampling, upload or heartbeat intervals. The sensor configuration RPC exposes alarm delay, sensitivity, buzzer and probe type, but not the device address or baud rate. Delay is 0–120 seconds; sensitivity 1/2/3 means high/medium/low. Verify dry, wet and disconnected states, recovery, and alarm records. An accepted RPC or queued downlink is not device feedback.
