LDS02 LoRaWAN Door Sensor
LDS02 is a native LoRaWAN Class A sensor powered by two AAA batteries. A sensor and magnet detect door state, opening count and last opening duration. Product information and the photograph are from the official Dragino manual.
Installation and onboarding
Mount the sensor on the frame and magnet on the door. Align their marks with the door closed and verify both states on site. Register the actual network credentials, check the frequency region and select the LDS02 template. The default upload interval is 86400 seconds and downlink port is 2. Class A delivery uses receive windows following uplinks.
Data and configuration
Inspect battery, state, event count and last duration. Each settings RPC selects one operation: upload interval, confirmed uplinks, event uplinks or ADR/DR. LDS02 also exposes device-side door-open timeout (0 disables it) and EDC open/close counting. In EDC mode read edc_state/edc_count; do not assume ordinary-frame fields still apply. The maintenance RPC supports explicit reset or cumulative-count clearing, without automatic retries.
Alarms and acceptance
The template links the door-timeout trigger. Check binding, an actual event report, alarm creation and recovery separately. Notification groups and channels require additional setup. The parameter model's rpc_hook_status does not establish that all settings were applied. Verify fresh reports, observed intervals and physical events; queueing is not completion.
